21 Ships Discharge Petrol, Cargo at Lagos Ports — NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has disclosed that at least 21 vessels are currently discharging petroleum products and other essential cargo at ports in Lagos.

According to the agency, the ships are offloading premium motor spirit (petrol), food items, and general goods as part of ongoing efforts to sustain supply chains and improve product availability across the country.

The NPA added that an additional 41 vessels are expected to arrive at Lagos ports in the coming days, carrying various imports including bulk wheat, containers, and other commodities.

Port authorities noted that the steady inflow of vessels reflects improved maritime activities and is expected to ease pressure on fuel distribution and food supply nationwide.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to efficient port operations, stating that measures are in place to ensure faster cargo clearance and reduced congestion at the nation’s busiest seaports.
