2026 WCQ: Ndidi, Iwobi, Bassey, 3 others risk suspension
Six Super Eagles players are one yellow card away from receiving a one match suspension in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying series.
Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Tolu Arokodare, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Sadiq Umar have all been booked once in the qualifiers.
Ndidi, Iwobi and Arokodare were booked in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over the Amavubi of Rwanda last Friday.
