School Proprietor In Court Over Alleged Rape Of Three Students
1 min readA 28-yr-old private school proprietor, Shamsu Nasiru has been arraigned before a Kano Magistrate court for allegedly raping three of his female students.
A resident of Dawakin Dakata quarters Kano, the proprietor of Irshadul Bariyya Group of Nursery and primary schools located in Inkyan quarters, Ungoggo local government area of Kano state, was charged for one-count charge for rape contrary to Section 283 of Panel Code Law.
The court heard that the case was reported to the Zango police divisional office by the parents of the victims, Ali Ladan, Sale Abdu and Ahmad Ibrahim.
“The accused is said to have forcefully have unlawfully slept with the students at different times and warned them that if they ever inform anyone, he will kill them,” the prosecution officer told the court.
The prosecutor ASP Shehu Musa added that “the complainants informed the police that they enrolled their children (names withheld) into Irshadul Bariyya Group Nursery and Primary schools about two years ago and that you Shamsu Nasiru being owner of the school has forcefully slept with their children at different times and also threatened to kill them if they inform anyone. Your action has caused serious harm to them.”
The accused person denied the content of the FIR when it was read to him.
The presiding Judge, Chief Magistrate Maryam Ahmed Sabo remanded the accused in prison custody and adjourned the case to 5th November, 2018 for the hearing of motion of notice
