Thirteen years after it ran uninterrupted on national TV stations, Nigeria’s popular game show, “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”, hosted by Frank Edoho is going on an indefinite break.

The show, which has produced a lot of millionaires started showing every week on national TV stations in 2014, and was hosted by MTN Nigeria.

Edoho took to his Instagram page on Sunday, to announce that the Telecom giant has pulled out of the show. “Sadly,we are going on a break because our sponsor pulled out. But we thank@mtnng for being with us all these years, please thank them for us..Just an indefinite break,” he wrote.

Though the app version of the show, according to Edoho, will continue, many fans of the show are not happy that the favourite TV game show show is going off the air.

Some of the past winners were Osazuwa Osahon Daniels – 5 million Naira (Year 2009),Aroma Ufodike Chimuanya – 10 million Naira (Year 2009),Babatunde Oni Oladipo – 5 million Naira (Year 2010),Nnaemeka Ubaekwena – 5 million Naira (Year 2012) among others.
